Benefits of Forest Schools

Research in the UK into Forest School and its impacts on young children found positive impacts on children in terms of confidence, social skills, language and communication, motivation and concentration, physical skills and knowledge and understanding.

Self-awareness – Forest School naturally supports children to become more aware of their physical selves. It also allows children to safely explore and tevst their own boundaries. They can face fears, develop skills, test ideas and make discoveries.

We have a range of courses and resources designed to support your staff to introduce and develop forest school lessons and activities in your school grounds and ongoing support and networking so they always feel supported.

  • Team building and resilience activities.
  • Outdoor cross curricular learning linked to English, Maths, Science or other curriculum areas.
  • Orienteering activities
  • Archery

Staff members are encouraged to watch and join in with the sessions we run so they gain knowledge and ideas themselves and we will also leave you with our planning and resources so you have the option to continue with these activities the children have enjoyed meaning this is a truly sustainable use of funding.
