A fantastic programme available for you this year that supports both early years practice and pupils with additional needs. Now more than ever this programme is essential in schools for:

Helping with early identification of need in pupils leading to early support and interventions and providing evidence needed for EHCP referrals where necessary.

Supporting targeted provision through adaptive teaching ideas.

Improving generic motor skills for ALL pupils from a young age allowing them to access better opportunities and thrive both in physical and fine motor activities in the future.
The support programme includes:

Training for staff on the afPE/ NHS – Early motor screening programme (25th September or 26th January

Lifetime access to materials, videos & assessment tools relating to this.

A place on the early years off to the best start course (12th November) or if interested from more of an inclusion perspective a place on the supporting targeted groups of pupils through PE (2nd March)

In school support visit to help with organisation or the programme and administer the first screening of pupils.

A follow up support meeting to share best practice between schools (21st May)
Schools are able to utilise funding from their PE and sports funding allocation this year, inclusion funding or pupils premium amount as this programme supports across all areas.
