Description
Through this course you will develop the skills and confidence to teach Games and Athletics in a way that inspires children and ensures that they see the links between different sports and activities and make the best progress possible. You will gain an understanding of how best to set up and organise your space, equipment and pupils to ensure the most effective lessons. You will explore what games is, how it is structured and how to get children to develop the skills they need and use these in different games based situations. You will also delve into the area of Athletics and gain an understanding of its importance to the whole of the PE curriculum and some fantastic ideas for delivery. This course is for teachers, trainers, PE leaders, trainee teachers, teaching assistants, sports assistants or anyone wishing to develop their skills in the areas of Games and Athletics. It will get you teaching excellent lessons and feel confident to be able to support other teachers in doing so.
